Keeping Killifish in Australia: an historical list of species that past through Australian hobbiest tanks
Below is an incomplete list of species that has been collected through talking with the long term killifish keeper and CKSG member Peter Surmon and Canberra and District Aquarium Society's (CDAS) breeders registery. Only a fraction of the species listed below are still around. Hopefully in time by getting breeders out of the woodwork we might find some of the species still living in a hobbiests tank!

The above list is just a snapshot of some of the species that Australian hobbiest have kept in the past. Looking at the list we do not have any excuse to complain that there are not many killifish arround do we? All we have to do is to ensure we do not lose any species we currently have and the number of species should increase in time.
