What's in a name?
One of the most challenging things about Killifish keeping is actually keeping up with the name changes!

This month the killifish in focus is Chromaphyosemion splendopleure. I have recieved two pairs of this attractive fish from Sydney.
The pairs was set up in a small tank with an air driven sponge filter. The tank itself had no gravel, a large java fern and two sinking spawning mops are the other additions to the tank.

The above image is a splendopleure male in a brightly lit tank with little cover. |
Breeding To breed splendopleure sinking and/or floating breeding mops is all that is needed.
