BEGINNERS' TANGO (Mondays)
Starting Monday 13th February 2006 (NOTE: this course is run through Erindale College)

Starting Wednesday 15th February 2006 (no class 1st March)
Venue: Lutheran Church Hall, Boolee St, Reid
8 week term 7:00 - 8:15 pm

**We recommend repeating Beginner's Tango at any stage
of your Tango to fully internalise fundamental techniques**
CONTINUING BEGINNERS' TANGO (Tuesdays)
Starting Tuesday 21st February 2006
Venue: Reid Uniting Church Hall, Coranderrk St, Reid
8 week term 8:15 - 9:30 pm
Building up on techniques already gained by having completed at
least one beginners tango term or equivalent. Students will have to
have some understanding of the tango walk, embrace and movements
including the cross, the backward and forward ochos and the turn.
The Continuing Beginners course will begin to branch into
more complex ochos, basic sable', a variety of sacadas, and
basic boleos (depending on the class level).
**We recommend repeating Continuing Beginner's Tango to fully
internalise the techniques covered.
INTERMEDIATE TANGO (Tuesdays)
Starting Tuesday 21st February 2006
Venue: Reid Uniting Church Hall, Coranderrk St, Reid
8 week term 7:00 - 8:15 pm
This course is designed further challenge the intermediate Tango dancer.
It will also cater to people who have been dancing tango for
a while, seeking further their understanding of tango movements, musicality
and wish to increase their tango vocabulary.
Participants should have stable fundamentals (walk, embrace, cross,
back/forward ochos), have covered basic sacadas, sable', boleos & turns and
have a basic musical understanding of Tango Vals & Milonga.
Embellishments and challenges will be included to stimulate
students improvisation skills and musical interpretation subject
to participant's demonstration of the technique introduced.
INTERMEDIATE TANGO TECHNIQUE WORKSHOPS (Monthly)
Saturday workshops at the Reid Uniting Church Hall
Sundays at EVATT private studio or Wests@Turner

These workshops will be aimed at the intermediate & above level and
will be subject specific, giving participants a chance to clarify
& solidify vital Tango techniques. They will be organised for Saturday
early-afternoon or Sunday afternoons.
Examples of workshops include "the close-embrace", "gancho fundamentals",
"changes in direction (boleos)", "sacada combinations" and more.
Special requests for workshops are encouraged by intending students.
Participants will need to have stable Tango fundamentals and at least
some experience with sacadas, sable' and turns. Emphasis will
be made on developing improvisational skills and furthering a
technical understanding of Tango movement and intention.
IMPORTED WORKSHOPS
Occassionally TengoTango has the opportunity to sponsor visiting
Tango masters and professionals to give performances and workshops
in Canberra.

CONTINUING II TANGO
- not being offered for Term 1, 2006. Next available class will be Term 2, 2006
This course is designed to build on techniques taught in
Beginners' and Continuing Beginners' Tango classes. It
will also cater to people who have been dancing tango for
a while, seeking understanding of tango movements and wish to increase
their tango vocabulary.
Participants should have stable fundamentals (walk, embrace, cross,
back/forward ochos) and also have covered basic sacadas, sable',
boleos & turns.
Embellishments and challenges will be included to stimulate
students improvisation skills and musical interpretation subject
to participant's demonstration of the technique introduced.
A particular focus will be on further developing
ideal fundamentals (posture and connection) & technique.
Cost:
Beginners Tango through the CEP at Erindale College is $125 per person for the 8 week term
NOTE: all bookings and payments for this course must be made direct to the College
All other TengoTango courses are $105 per person for an 8 week term.
Payable at the beginning of Term.
Tango workshops are $15 per person for 1.5 hours

Private Lessons:
$50 per individual for 1 hour/ $30 per individual for 30 mins
$60 per couple for 1 hour/$35 per couple for 30mins
$75 per 1 hour lesson (couple or indiv) with both teachers / $40 for 30 mins
Pre-payment for 4 lessons is $180 for 4x1hr for indiv ($220 for couple)
